Home of the Brave

Home of the Brave was a great book. After finishing reading the book, I would recommend it to anyone. I love how all of the characters connected together in the end and reunited. I like how the end of the book ties a main part of the book together too. I also really liked how the story flowed nicely. I do wish the epilogue was longer so we could learn more about what happened. Overall, this is a great book and I think everyone should take the time to read it and enjoy it.

Ready Player One

Ready Player One was a very good book. I liked the story, and I loved the characters. However, I do not like the way that it was written. I feel like it was a wasted opportunity to make a great book. Every single part about the story and characters were great, their personalities and the way it affects the story. But the way that it is brought though in writing was a waste.

We were liars- so sad

I really liked my book but I am NOT SATISFIED with my ending. it really saddens me. The main character, Cady, figures out why she was in an accident, to begin with, and slowly regains her memory. I really think she could've written a better ending. The ending is devastating. I do not like it. The book was very interesting though.
I read the book Ghost for Round 3 of Lit circles. I REALLY liked this book! It had lots of interesting things that people can relate to, especially me because it was about track and I do and enjoy track.  I thought this book did a great job of grabbing the reader's attention right away. The only thing I have a concern about is the ending. It doesn't have a good ending at all. If I could change the book a little, I would make it have a better ending.

Ready Player One review

Overall, after reading Ready Player One, I really enjoyed the book. I really liked learning about the characters in the book, and it was a new topic that I was not used to reading about so it was really interesting to read a different genre. One thing I would have changed about the book, is that sometimes the book went slow and should have gotten to some of the points more quicker. Although, I really enjoyed reading Ready Player One and thought it was a great experience for me to read a new type of genre.

Scythe

Overall I really enjoyed reading scythe.  Dystopian/science fiction is my favorite genre of books and this is one of my favorite books so far.  I especially enjoy that each chapter has someone else's perspective in it and it gives the book more depth and meaning.  Also, throughout the book the plot gets bigger, with more problems to solve and more obstacles which made the book a lot more interesting.

Simon vs the Homosapiens Agenda

I didn't enjoy the book because I thought it was very repetitive. The story was all Simon trying to figure out who Blue is and it is very predictable. I also thought that it was really confusing because the author didn't really hook you in with the characters and there were so many characters and I got really confused.

The War That Saved My Life- Review (Contains Spoilers)

Overall I enjoyed The War That Saved My Life.  I would give this book three stars because the book was kind-of repetitive, however it gave a very nice message. Also, the ending was very unsatisfying- I wished there was a bit more drama. Also, unless you read the next book, you have no idea what happened to Mam, which was very aggravating. On a better note, it was awesome when Ada stood up for herself and became a more confident person. Overall this book was very good and I would recommend the story.

-Love, Simon

The book I read was Love Simon by Becky Albertalli. I did not like this book because I thought that the story was very predictable. Nothing unexpected ever happened because the author made a lot of the details and situation's repetitive. Love Simon was also a boring book because many of the situations where repetitive. I would always know what the next page was about because most of the time it would be the same situation in to much detail. I would not recommend this book to anyone except visual people because this book had a lot of detail.

GHOST

In my opinion I really liked this book. i felt like it had a really good message that every could learn. if I had to rate it out of ten I would probably give it a 7 out of ten. One part I really liked about it is it always left you on a page-turner.

"Ready Player One" Overview

Overall this book Ready Player One was a fine book. There were some parts of the book that was hard to get through because it wasn't very interesting. Overall, the story was okay but if there was something to change I would liked if it was a little bit more violent. I liked how their were quests and some mystery things throughout the story though.

The Spectacular Book Ghost

For round 3 of lit circle I read the book Ghost. I think that Ghost is a SPECTACULAR book that is very relatable to everyone in a different way and it also has a great message that the author makes clear to the reader. The message of Ghost is to say true to yourself and not believe what others think of you or anyone else. Also don't change for someone else, stay who you are. I also think that this book was always staying interesting even not during the climax or problem introduction. One way I can connect to this story is that Ghost really likes to run because it is almost his way to forget about his harder life reality sometimes when I play volleyball I forget about lots of homework I may have to complete later that day.

Scythe Feedback

Scythe is an amazing book written by Neal Shusterman. I have positive and negative feelings about this book. Some positive things about this book is that it has great ending that makes me want it to continue. I also like that it is dystopian which is a genre I like. I don’t like the beginning because it is hard to understand. I also don’t like how it takes a while for the book to fully make sense and come together. I wish the book was structured better and explained more in the beginning. I also wish there was less killing because it made me sad for all the people living in this world.

Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

This book was okay. It was pretty a bland book without many twists and the only twist was predictable. If you are dead inside I recommend this to you. 1/5 stars . Div hurt me

Ghost

Ghost is a very motivational book. It is about a teenager named Castle who lives with not much money, and in a bad neighborhood. He is very fast but he hasn't been on a sports team in his life. He joins the track team and becomes the fastest one. He goes through problems, insecurities, and disappointments. I think this book gives very good advice, to show that you can be your own person and people will accept you. This book connects to a lot of athletes in the world, because it shows the issues that every athletes go through at one point. I would give this book a seven out of ten. I think that it gives people advice, however I think that it should have more details and to be a little bit longer.

Holding up the Universe

I recommend Holding up the Universe. I think this book is really good and also it could be relatable to some girls. This book might be relatable to some girls because some girls might be insecure about their body shape.

Scythe

The book Scythe was a okay book but a little depressing. The beginning was very confusing and was very depressing. The second half of the book got better but there was still a lot of killing. The ending was very good and wasn't depressing. The book is in a dystopia and takes place in the future. Overall I would give this book a 2.5 star out 5.

Home of the Brave

Home of the brave is a great story. I would highly reccomend this to readers who like realistic fiction stories. The main boy in the story is Kek, who moved to America from Sudan because of war. This book is great because it captures something for everyone to enjoy. There is mystery, adventure, action etc. Overall, Home of the Brave is a great that I think everyone should read.

Ghost's new shoe's

Castle was introduced to his new track team and got to know what they were like. While running the 100 meter he fell as he was running and felt very embarrassed. He then went home and decided he needed to change up his shoes. He ended up cutting them and making a huge mistake because the next day he was teased and embarrassed even more when the whole class started laughing at him. After he went to the shoe store and found super cool new shoes that he knew he couldn't afford. So instead of being good, he STOLE the shoes he ruined his altercation free streak. We recommend this book to teenagers that are interested in sports and love a fun and easy to follow book.

We were liars

In the book, "We were liars" the main character, Cadence, spends every summer on an island, Clairmont, with her cousins, aunts, and granddad. When summer 15 comes along, Cadence goes into the sea alone and it is so cold that she gets hypothermia and bangs her head on a rock. She then lives her life poorly, not physically, Cady can't focus in school and cannot graduate. Only during summer 17, she comes back to New Clairemont. Everyone misses her and feels bad for her. Some even think that she is a drug addict. Gat, her lover, meets her there every summer. Cady forgets everything about summer 15 and gets her memories back very very slowly.

The War That Saved My Life- Brady, Courtney, Dylan G

Ada lived in a tiny flat with her little brother and abusive mother. She had never left her tiny flat because her mother was too embarrassed of her clubfoot. When war hits London Jamie and Ada secretly leave the city for the countryside, when no one would host them, the were assigned to a young woman named Miss Smith. Once, they arrived at their temporary home, Ada spots a pony named Butter, and is determined to ride him. Ada see new things within her new home and everyday new adventures await. We would recommend this book to people who love to ride and like a good war story.

Scythe: Book Reveiw

In a world where no one dies lives two people names Citra and Rowan. They are chosen to become Scythes, who are the only people who can kill other people. Even though they don't want to, they have to learn to kill people. We recommend this book to people who like action and science fiction novels.

Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda

Simon is gay and he is being blackmailed by Martin. It is very predictable, the characters are obnoxious and we don't like it. We would recommend it to gay people who are scared of coming out.
