My favorite book


My favorite book is Chasing Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson. This book is my favorite because of the detail. The book has great description, when I was reading it I felt as if I was really there in Ford's Theatre. The book tells of the 12 day manhunt to catch John Wilkes Booth. It tells how he planned to kill Lincoln and how he got away. I would recommend this book to someone who likes action and a little bit or gore. When I say gore I mean the book goes into description of the murder of Lincoln and the attempted murder of the secretary of war.

I didn't enjoy the book because I thought it was very repetitive. The story was all Simon trying to figure out who Blue is and it is very predictable. I also thought that it was really confusing because the author didn't really hook you in with the characters and there were so many characters and I got really confused.

I read the book Ghost for Round 3 of Lit circles. I REALLY liked this book! It had lots of interesting things that people can relate to, especially me because it was about track and I do and enjoy track.  I thought this book did a great job of grabbing the reader's attention right away. The only thing I have a concern about is the ending. It doesn't have a good ending at all. If I could change the book a little, I would make it have a better ending.
